This is a treat that always takes me back to the summers of my childhood. Â I still love them just as much today.
Scotcharoos
Ingredients
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
6 cups rice krispie cereal
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
Directions
- Combine peanut butter, sugar, and corn syrup in a large pot over medium heat
- Stir until sugar dissolves and remove from heat
- Stir in rice krispie cereal
- Spread into a greased 9×13 baking dish
- Place both chips in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute
- Stir chips and return to microwave as needed 30 seconds at a time until melted
- Pour and spread over krispie mix
- Let set for approximately 2 hours
