This is such a fun and different way to give a gift or bring a treat to a gathering. The recipe I used was my favorite Heath Caramel Poke Cake. But instead of making a full cake, you just make cupcakes and divide them in half and layer them however you like. This one was cake, caramel, cool whip, and heath. Here are a couple of others I want to try next.
Ingredients
1 box cake mix
filling of your choice
cool whip
candy or fruit for topping
Directions
- Make cupcakes according to package directions and allow to cool
- In a jar place the bottom half of the cupcake and layer with filling and cool whip followed by the top half of the cupcake
- Continue layering until jar is filled and place candy or fruit of your choice on top
