In honor of my birthday, I thought I would share one of my favorite cakes since I was a child.

Heath Poke Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box german chocolate cake mix/plus eggs and oil required on back of the box

  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 16 oz jar caramel topping

  • 1 8 oz ctn cool whip, thawed

  • 1 bag chocolate-covered toffee bits

Directions

  • Make the cake in a 9×13 pan according to package directions
  • Let cool for about an hour
  • Poke holes in the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon
  • In a separate bowl mix condensed milk and caramel
  • Pour mixture over top of cake
  • Place in refrigerator and let soak at least one hour to overnight
  • Remove cake from fridge and spread cool whip over cake
  • Sprinkle toffee bits on top and serve
